Using Laban exercises to test movement potential along the vertical, sagittal, horizontal, and diagonal axes, I would then allow the environment to influence my movement. While the rectilinear dance studio was a blank slate which did not predispose me to any kind of movement, the stimuli of a particular architectural space inspired new movements.
