Time is the medium of film. This resident film maker’s live/work pavilion includes a studio and a sleeping space, accessed through a South-facing corridor that heightens awareness of time for the artist as it casts changing shadows throughout the day. The facade animates time for passerbys as the shadows cast across it change over the days and seasons.
By night, the relationship of light and shadow inverts, and the movement of people along the corridor animates the frames of the cedar facade as it casts a warm light on its surroundings.
