Design-Build Arch

A semester-long group project for the course “Materials and Assemblies” at Carnegie Mellon University, Spring 2011. The goal was to explore structural systems through material testing/physical computing, resulting in an arch structure. The final arch was fabricated from CNC-milled hand-painted plywood, riveted steel plates, and string.
